1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of salonijo.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms cover the website only. They do not govern the supply of furniture — that is covered by the written contract or purchase order agreed for each project. Where these terms and a signed contract conflict, the contract prevails.

You may browse the site, and download or print material from it, for your own reference or for a project you are working on with us.

You may not: use the site in any unlawful way; attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any server behind it; probe, scan or test its security; introduce malicious code; scrape or harvest content or contact details by automated means; use it to send unsolicited commercial messages; or reproduce our material commercially without our written permission.

We may suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, without notice. We do not guarantee it will always be available or uninterrupted.

4. Accuracy of what you see here

We take care over the content of this site. Even so:

Colours and finishes. Timber, stone, leather and textile are natural materials and vary. Screen reproduction varies further. The photographs here show what a piece looked like in a particular room under particular light — they are not a colour match. For anything where colour matters, approve a physical sample. We will send one.

Dimensions. Every piece we make is made to measure and built to suit the space it is going into. Any dimension shown here, or in a catalogue, is indicative. The dimensions that bind us are the ones written into your order confirmation.

Availability and lead times. Lead times quoted here or in our FAQ are typical, not guaranteed. The lead time for your order is the one stated in your order confirmation.

Catalogues. Our downloadable catalogues are current at the date of publication. Ranges change. Confirm anything important with us directly.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. It is an invitation to enquire.

5. Intellectual property

Ours. The design of this site, its text, photography, video, the Saloni name and logo, and the designs of the furniture shown are owned by registered company name to be confirmed or licensed to us. Our furniture designs are original works of our studio. Copying them, or commissioning a third party to reproduce them, infringes our rights and we will act on it.

You may not reproduce our photography or copy commercially, or use the Saloni name or logo, without our written permission. Architects, designers and press may reproduce images for editorial or project-presentation purposes provided Saloni is credited — ask us and we will supply high resolution files.

Others'. Hotel names, brand names and logos appearing on this site are the property of their respective owners. They appear to identify projects Saloni has supplied and to indicate the scope of that work. Their appearance does not imply that those owners endorse Saloni or any product shown, and nothing here should be read as a statement on their behalf.

Third-party design credit. Where Saloni manufactured to another party’s design, that design remains theirs. Where a project page does not name an architect or interior designer, that is an omission rather than a claim of authorship; if you designed something shown here and would like the credit corrected, please write to us and we will put it right.

6. Enquiries, quotations and orders

An enquiry through this site does not create a contract and places you under no obligation.

Quotations are valid for number to be confirmed days unless stated otherwise. A quotation is based on the specification agreed at the time; changes to dimensions, materials, finish or quantity change the price, and we will re-quote rather than absorb it silently.

An order becomes binding when we issue a written order confirmation and receive any deposit stated in it. Because our pieces are made to your specification, an order cannot generally be cancelled once production has begun. The position on cancellation and deposits is set out in your contract.

Consumer rights. Where you deal with us as a consumer, you have rights under applicable law that these terms do not affect. Note that the usual right to cancel a distance purchase generally does not apply to goods made to a consumer’s specification — which is most of what we make. Ask us before ordering if this matters to you, and we will tell you plainly where you stand.

7. Warranty

Every piece we make is covered by a warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, running from the date of delivery:

The warranty covers defects. It does not cover fair wear and tear; damage from misuse, accident or unsuitable cleaning; the natural movement, patination and colour change of timber, leather and stone; damage from placing indoor furniture outdoors; or any alteration or repair carried out by anyone other than Saloni or someone we appointed.

If something is wrong, tell us. Our first instinct is to put it right rather than argue about whether we have to — but the formal position is as above and in your contract.

8. If something arrives wrong

If a piece arrives that is not what was agreed, we cover the full cost of returning it and we will either remake it to the agreed specification or refund it. Tell us within number to be confirmed days of delivery and send photographs where you can, since that usually saves an inspection visit.

9. Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, and so far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of anticipated savings arising from your use of this site, and our total liability arising out of your use of this site is limited to liability limit to be confirmed.

This clause concerns the website. Liability relating to the supply of furniture is governed by your contract.

10. Links to other sites

Where we link to another website, we do so for information. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Changes

We may amend these terms. The version in force is the one published here, with the date shown at the top. Please check it if you are relying on it.

13. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site, are governed by the laws of governing law to be confirmed, and the courts of courts to be confirmed have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
