Privacy policy.
Last updated: 20 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Saloni collects through salonijo.com, why we collect it, what we do with it, and what rights you have over it. We have tried to write it plainly. If anything here is unclear, please ask us — the contact details are in section 12.
1. Who we are
registered company name to be confirmed ("Saloni", "we", "us") is a furniture manufacturer registered in country of registration to be confirmed under commercial registration number commercial registration number to be confirmed, with its registered office at registered address to be confirmed.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide what is collected and why, and we are accountable for it.
For any question about this policy or about your personal information, write to info@salonijo.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers salonijo.com and the enquiry, application and booking forms on it.
It does not cover: information you give us in person at a showroom, over the phone, or by writing to us directly; the contractual records we keep once you become a client, which are governed by your contract with us; or any third-party website we link to, including Instagram and Google Maps. Those services have their own policies and we do not control them.
3. What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, country, message, and your phone number if you choose to give it. If you enquire about a specific piece, we also record which piece. You do not have to give a phone number; the form works without it.
When you apply for a job: your name, email address, country, phone number, the position you are applying for, anything you write about yourself, and your CV if you attach one.
We deliberately do not ask job applicants for their age, gender, date of birth, marital status or nationality, and you should not include them. If you send them anyway, we will not use them in any hiring decision.
When you book a showroom visit: your name, contact details and your preferred date and time.
Automatically, when you browse: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, approximate location derived from your IP, the pages you visit and when, and the site you arrived from. See section 8 and our Cookie Policy.
We never ask for and do not want: payment card details, identity document numbers, health information, religious or political affiliation, or any other special category of data. Please do not send these through the website. Where payment is required in the course of a project, it is arranged separately and never through this site.
4. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
| What we do | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project | You asked us to | Your consent; and steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Keep a record of enquiries and our replies | So we can pick up a conversation months later, as often happens on a project, and so we can evidence what was agreed | Our legitimate interest in running the business properly |
| Assess a job application | You applied | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract; your consent |
| Keep an unsuccessful application on file | So we can contact you if a suitable role opens | Your consent — we ask separately, and you can say no |
| Keep the site working and secure, and prevent spam and abuse of our forms | Otherwise the forms become unusable | Our legitimate interest in security |
| Understand which pages are used, in aggregate | To improve the site | Your consent, where this involves non-essential cookies |
| Comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations | We have to | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — see section 10. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not trade mailing lists.
We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it to do their job for us. Each is bound by contract to protect it and to use it for nothing else.
| Provider | What they do | Where they process |
|---|---|---|
| hosting provider to be confirmed | Hosts the website | processing region to be confirmed |
| email provider to be confirmed | Delivers enquiry notifications and acknowledgements | processing region to be confirmed |
| form storage provider to be confirmed | Stores form submissions and CVs | processing region to be confirmed |
| analytics provider, if any to be confirmed | Aggregate site statistics | processing region to be confirmed |
We will also disclose personal information if we are legally required to — by a court order, a regulator, or applicable law — and if we ever need to establish or defend a legal claim. If Saloni’s business is sold or reorganised, records may transfer to the new owner, who would be bound by this policy until they lawfully replace it.
6. Sending information outside your country
Saloni operates from Jordan with a presence in Qatar, and some of our service providers are based elsewhere. This means your information may be stored or processed in a country other than the one you are in, including countries whose data protection laws differ from your own.
Where we transfer personal information internationally, we do so only where there is a lawful basis for it, and we put appropriate safeguards in place — contractual protections with each provider requiring a standard of protection equivalent to the one described in this policy.
If you would like details of the safeguards applying to a particular transfer, write to info@salonijo.com.
7. How we protect it
We use HTTPS across the whole site, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Form submissions and CVs are stored with access restricted to the people at Saloni who need them. Uploaded files are stored outside the public web root and cannot be reached by guessing a URL. We apply rate limiting and spam protection to our forms.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires, and we will tell you plainly what happened and what we are doing about it.
8. Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. What they are, what they do and how to control them is set out in our Cookie Policy.
9. How long we keep it
| Record | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become a project | 24 months from our last exchange |
| Enquiries that become a project | For the life of the project plus number to be confirmed years, to meet contractual, warranty, tax and accounting obligations |
| Unsuccessful job applications | 12 months, or until you ask us to delete them |
| Applications where you asked us to keep you on file | number to be confirmed months, then we ask again or delete |
| Showroom booking details | number to be confirmed months |
| Server and security logs | 90 days |
When a retention period ends we delete the information or irreversibly anonymise it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you have some or all of the following rights. We honour all of them for everyone who asks, regardless of where they are, because drawing lines between people based on geography is not how we want to run this.
- Access — ask what we hold about you and get a copy
- Correction — have anything inaccurate or incomplete put right
- Deletion — ask us to delete what we hold, where we have no overriding obligation to keep it
- Restriction — ask us to pause using it while a question about it is resolved
- Objection — object to processing we base on legitimate interest
- Portability — receive what you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where consent is what we relied on
- Complain — to us first, and to a supervisory authority if we do not resolve it
To exercise any of these, write to info@salonijo.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first — not to obstruct you, but because handing your information to someone impersonating you would be the worse failure.
There is no charge for any of this.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may complain to the relevant authority: in Jordan, the data protection authority established under Law No. 24 of 2023; in Qatar, the competent department at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; in the EU or UK, your local supervisory authority.
11. Children
This website is directed at adults — architects, designers, hoteliers and private clients. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to info@salonijo.com and we will delete it.
